Recovering Alcoholic?
Saturday, July 9th, 2011I was wondering… I have a friend who went to rehab for alcoholism (very much needed), but it was against his will. He’s been doing fine so far now that he’s out, but I’m worried about him. I know that, to recover, you have to -want- to recover. He didn’t when he went in. Does rehab actually help people realize they have a problem and want to recover, or do they become even more obstinate about -not- having a problem and -not- wanting to get better? Anybody have personal experience, or statistics on how many people relapse after their probation has ended? He was doing in-house treatment over a period of a year.
